Golf

The Costa del Sol has an abundance of superb golf courses and is known as the Costa del Golf.   Next to the urbanizacion is Chaparral Golf, number 11 on the bottom map of this page, the club house and first tee are only ten minutes walk from the property.   Chaparral Golf is a testing course in superb condition wending its way through pine woods, hills and rough terrain.  Interesting is an understatement, very narrow fairways up hill and down dale.    Within ten minutes drive there are such golf courses as La Cala America, Asia and Europe courses 19, 20 and 21 below, extremely picturesque.  La Cala golf resort is officially the largest golf complex in Spain.  The scenery is nothing less than stunning at La Cala Golf.   Nearby also Mias Flores Golf, Cabo Pino Golf, Mijas Golf - 2 courses and Santana Golf which is slightly inland but well worth a visit, stunning white sand in the bunkers next to dazzling emerald green grass fairways through the avocado orchards, superb.

The below maps of the area give an indication as to the amount of golf courses available.  Most are pay and play, so, just turn up and play.  It is advisable to book during high season.  To book or examine rates and charges for playing golf click here
